Christiane Klatt

- artistic director/puppeteer

After completing my MA in Theatre Studies (Bochum, Berlin and London), I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Theatre Practice (major in Puppetry) at the Central School of Speech and Drama (London, UK).
To support my work as a puppeteer, dramaturg and set designer, I participate regularly in professional development seminars - these are a valuable source of new ideas and also an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues.

Next to directing my own company I worked in theatres like Schauspielhaus Bochum and Theater Lübeck.

I was a committee member of UNIMA Germany and part of the editorial staff of the journal "Das andere Theater" (The other Theater) from 2003 until 2009, and I have been a member of LAFT Berlin since 2014. From 2015-19 I initiated and organised the local puppet theatre network IG Puppe.

Since 2019 I am board member of the German Association of Professional Puppet Theatres (VDP e.V.)
